Biography

Born and raised in Pompano Beach, FL, Kenley is the youngest daughter of a tugboat captain. She began her career in fashion at the age of 16, when she started buying vintage clothing and reconstructing them for herself and friends. After graduating from Florida State University with a marketing degree, Kenley found herself in New York City with a sales job for a clothing company. No longer than a week later, she was promoted to a design position where she was able to blossom in the industry.

Since then, she has developed her own line which has been sold in local boutiques and on her website, www.kenleycollins.com. She also has taught several pattern making, sewing, and accessory classes in the Garment District, and in her spare time, sings in the band, Jetblack Bullseye.

Kenley started an international trend with her feather fascinators after appearing on Bravo’s Project Runway in 2008. She has also appeared on E!’s Oscar 2011 pre-show, Live with Regis and Kelly, The Biography channel, and Project Runway All Stars on Lifetime.
